A short interview with Peter :)

Hey dear blog readers,

[[ I thank your support and regularly viewing my blog. I have recently joined 'www.Zonen9.com' as a writer as well. For the new website I have started hunting for talents and then introducing it to you guys. I could not possibly include everything there but I can atleast try my best to express my views in my blog. I would appreciate if you know anybody and introduce to me so that I can write about them.]]

I stumbled upon this youtube channel few months back while i was going through some Nepali cover songs. I could see a non-Nepalese guy singing so fluently in Nepalese. I was instantly surprised and mesmerised by the voice and the determination he had to sing Nepali song. I'm glad there are people who loves Nepali music and appreciate them. A big achievement as well as contribution of Nepali music industry.
Watch out girls :)

this is a cool photo.

He is kind enough to spare some time for me and truly appreciate it. Thank you Peter.

Review of Opening Ceremony London2012

iphone image

google image
Hello all,

I've been lazy to blog recently. On Friday 27th July 2012 I watched Opening Ceremony of London 2012 Olympics, the most awaited event. Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle presented the Opening Ceremony of £27 million. I gathered up with friends and close people to watch the programme. Here is what I thought of the ceremony, lets just call it solely 'My Review'.

The first thing I liked was 'The Countdown' of 1 minutes which covered many things already. 10 Downing Street, No.9 bus which runs in Central London and many more. The start of the River Thames for me was awesome.

The 'Isles of Wonder', showed by Danny was so nice. I actually liked the theme of the ceremony. I think he tried to show typical English countryside. I was wondering about so many things and why it was there. I wondered where are the athletes of all over the world going to stand cause there was grass all over there. Why there is a little uphill there. and more questions followed later on. Even living 10 years in Britain I was still confused. Then slowly I got the hang of it. I somehow related to the things that Danny might want to show.

The view of countryside, people farming, playing, singing happily was spectacular. Then followed the invasion of industrial revolution and the big chimneys and dark era. The class difference, the Suffragettes, the greenlands disappearing, labourers, world war, women working in the world war in different fields when all men went to war front, the people migrating from the Caribbean, Uganda and other countries, foundation of NHS (National Health Service) and Great Ormond Street Hospital. More followed as British singing legends and their songs, Film industry and current James Bond and ofcourse the Queen. I very much liked David Beckham's part. He looked cool. Harry Potter theme was shown. Everything that Britain is proud of was demonstrated in a very superb way. I loved luminous lights (Blue is my favourite colour), the effects and danced sequence.

I waited whole night just to see Nepalese participants and them calling out my country's name. Thank god atleast someone was there to represent my country. I was wondering when each country appeared and walked the march past. The volunteers were carrying something in their hand. Later on I realise the flag was suppose to go on the little hill there, the thing those volunteers were carrying was actually the head of the Olympics torch which they lighten in the end. It was like a flower and it all came together to form a flames of all participating countries. The Olympic flame was lighten by young generation. Closing up with Paul McCartney was epic act. Though his voice wasn't that great seeing him was enough for me.

The most of all. I loved the Fireworks in the end. It was marvellous.

Everything was very good. But I must say there few things that people criticised and yes I am also doing it. I am not saying bad things just some points which I felt like expressing here.

Trying show every special thing that Britain has and is proud of in such a good way was impressive but a lot of people around the world might have very few knowledge of what was going on. I read 'Life in UK' book few months ago so I was able to understand what was going on though I think I might have miss out on something as well. Not a lot of people knows what is NHS. People compared this opening ceremony with Beijing Olympics and said it was less interesting, but I do not agree with that fully. All those great music is not recognisable by everyone. For me being a Nepalese and if I was in Nepal, I wouldn't have known many things. Danny Boyle did try to make it interesting for all age group. He included children, youngsters, middle aged and all people. The whole point of this post is that I loved what he did and how he managed such a big event so beautifully but I guess most of the people around the world might have understand only half of what was going on.

I loved being here in the City hosting London 2012 Olympics. I never thought in my childhood that I will end up here in future. I was lucky enough to get tickets to Badminton and I thoroughly enjoyed watching World Champions of Badminton. I even went to see Olympic village but didn't had ticket to get in.

I look forward to see how the Closing Ceremony will be. Although I didn't get chance to volunteer I just hope they do well. Wishing them luck.

That secret place

Everybody has secrets. I have secrets too. Secret is not secret if it's been revealed. If people never had secrets then this world would have been like an open book, not too interesting I guess. I am kind of person who likes surprises (good ones ) and surprise is not possible without secret. Anyways here is a little article about secrets. :)

I HAVE :
.......that secret area of the park that I want to walk with you.
.......that secret phrase of my favourite book which I want to read to you.
.......that secret receipe of food which I want to feed you.
.......that secret destination of Nepal where I want to take you.
.......that secret childhood photo of mine which I want to show you.
.......that secret mistake of past which I want to confess to you.
.......that secret biggest achievement of life that I want to tell you.
.......that secret special member of family whom I want you to meet.
.......that secret corner in my heart where I want to keep you.
.......that secret space in my mind where I want to fill you.
.......that secret place in my soul where I want to decorate you.
.......that secret title in my life which I want to present you.

This secret thing keeps on going. To be honest I do not like too many secrets, and the fact is I can't keep too many secrets myself. I just feel like I'm suffocated by too many secrets. Life to to enjoy and live with much freedom and no deep dark secrets. Free your mind. Love life and enjoy your spiritual freedom.

Live life to you fullest.

iphone, instagram and photography

Hello dear blog readers,

I never knew myself that I was so much into photography. I do not call myself a photographer by just clicking few nice photos but I love photography. Ever since I bought my iphone 3 back in 2008 I have been passionate about taking photos of anything. I love taking close up photos. I have transformed my own looks into something different. (do not get fascinated by only close-up photos though ^.^)

Back in Nepal, we had that old-fashioned camera and hardly anybody used digital ones in the 90's. We had to take photos of our events and then wait until it gets developed in a studio. But thinking of it now, there was a different joy in doing so. Slowly after I came to UK, things changed rapidly in phones, internet, computers as well as photography world. Digital camera is found in each and everybody's hand. The size of the camera squeezed smaller and smaller. Then again slowly the sizes of camera again started getting bigger. The camera now everybody owns is a big, heavy, extra lens Canon/ Sony/ Panasonic/ Nikon or some other famous brands. It has those features of a professional camera. Gosh I looked so different when a brother took my photo. I don't have it yet but wish to get one soon. (praying and not saving hehe). Now I have iphone 4s. I am not advertising iphone but I am really in love with my iphone. Apps like instagram keeps inspiring me to take photos of anything I fancy. It is just amazing feeling when people press 'likes' for your photos. You can get positive/ negative or neutral comments. I love getting Likes from my instagram followers. There are amazing people in instagram. I get to see what's happening in Nepal, Kathmandu this very moment. The weather (rainy, sunny, windy), the food they are eating, places they are visiting, the people they are meeting or occasions or anything that they post. I feel more close to home.

I love to express my vision through my photography. I like to present things differently. I love flowers, nature, food, art, etc. I do not post photos of people because they get offended if I post it in instagram. I usually take a quick snap whenever I see a flower. I have more than 3,000 photos stored in my phone and I just couldn't delete any of them. I love all of them. Hope you guys also enjoy photography.

Stop piracy, respect photography, admire brilliancy and share skills.

All photos are taken from iphone 4s. cheers

Thank you.

नेपाली राष्ट्रिय गीत (Nepali National Anthem)

 नेपाली राष्ट्रिय गीत (Nepali National Anthem)

''सयौं थुँगा फूलका '' - 2007 AD
लेखक : प्रदीप कुमार राई (ब्याकुल माईला )
संगीत : अम्बर गुरुङ

(All pictures in the video is my own painting. Hope you like it.)

''100s of flowers of garland '' - 2007 Ad
Lyrics : Pradeep Kumar Rai (Byakul Maila)
Music : Amber Gurung

I grew up singing national anthem which is completely different to what we have now. Nepal was previously a Kingdom now it is a Republic. I know very little about new Nepal but I'm trying to learn more about it.

First of all I start with our National Anthem. For the past few months I have been memorising National anthem word by word so that I won't be tagged along with those who can't sing their own country's national anthem. I present this video where I have put my patriotic heart to sing along in my own voice. Please watch it with patience.

I would like to thank JustTalkative for lending me the youtube music which helped me fulfill my mission. I'm neither a singer nor famous person but still trying my luck to sing my national anthem with open heart.

Long live Nepal !

Thank you.

My restless mind

'' It is silent evening of June in London. Seems like this streetlights have given enough lights for moon to be angry and hide. In this quite room there is only me and this laptop or might be some ghost roaming around. Mind you I heard that every house in London is hunted. My small nose is supporting this pair of glasses which has become my helping eyes more than a decade. Throat little bit soar, hair is all over my shoulder and yet I try to figure out what interesting thing I can write about in my blog.

I pretend that I have a time machine and I am taking you back to past. I have not found time machine for future yet.

This was way back in late 80's in Brunei. It is a vivid memory that someone stood up help me long time ago. I never knew what was bullying at a age as young as 6 or 7. This senior sister in my school was being a little mean to me and was telling me to do tasks at school. I don't know why she was like that but as usual I quickly refused and rebelled and I got in trouble. She got angry and started telling me off.  I keep laughing when I remember that situation, I was so angry and but was still holding my temper and standing infront of her. May be I was thinking whether rebelling was good thing or not but certainly I was thinking of fighting with her. I have always been a tomboyish girl. I am not trying to say that she was a bad person or she did wrong, may be she had her reasons to do it. Suddenly out of nowhere this senior brother came and stood up for me. I don't remember his face, I don't remember his name but I do always remember the favour he did for me. I am always grateful to him. I felt like I am not always wrong in things that I do. Later on things were smooth and I often used to see him in school and did respect him a lot. Then our family moved back to Nepal. After nearly 20 years later I saw the sister who tried to give me hard time, there is no hard feelings but still I haven't forgotten her face. May be she has already forgotten what she did but I never did. May be we just accept the fact and move on rather than stuck in one situation.

The morale is that 'Do not be afraid to stand up for your rights.' No matter how hard we try we never actually forget bad memories but we have to cherish our present as well. Forgiveness is a vast word but we do have to try it on us.

I opened my eyes after few minutes of nap, laptop still in my lap and head titled on sofa's lap. It's almost morning and my sleep has gone on vacation. The stomach feels empty and growling, the sound from laptop fan, wall clock, typing letters and even my heartbeat is bigger than ever. Now I have to leave for my most favourite place, the comfort of my cosy bed. The story is continues. ''

googled image
I keep wondering and my mind is always restless. It's not that I am unhappy, just that I keep thinking. I keep thinking of doing something different all the time. I am not trying to prove anything to anybody or show how different I am. I feel refreshed and reborn all over again when I do something new.

One day I saw a brief description of a book in a magazine about a lady in her seventies writing about her life experiences. So, for couple of weeks I have been thinking of writing a book or a novel or a short story of some experience of my life and not share it with anyone haha.Yet again I wonder if I have the capability to do it or not. Do I have that vocabulary knowledge to impress myself? I don't even have the guts to show it to anyone. Is it a secret which is buried inside me or I am just making everyone curious? Everyone has some secret inside them. Well, I am making everyone curious now. Laughing with myself.

We live in this world which seems same everyday but it is changing day by day. I feel like I am living same life for past few years but no things are changing around me. I am older than what I was and I have become same person with slightly different priorities.

I do wish to write a book about my experiences and publish it. It is just a mere thought. Thanks for reading.

Now where do I start my story????
